PUPPY CLUB · ALONE TIME
CAN'T LEAVE THE ROOM WITHOUT THE CRYING STARTING?
A puppy who follows you everywhere and panics when the door closes is hard work, and it's worrying too. Alone time can be taught gently from the very first weeks, in steps small enough that your puppy never has to panic.

WHAT ALONE TIME REALLY TEACHES
Learning to be apart doesn't mean leaving a young puppy to cope on their own or waiting for them to get upset. We're helping them learn, in very small steps, that they can rest, settle and feel safe without you beside them every moment, starting with tiny separations around the home.
Distress isn't something your puppy needs to get used to. It tells us the current step is too hard, and it doesn't mean anything is ruined, so comfort comes first and time away comes later, always working with the puppy in front of you rather than the week on the calendar.
WHERE IT USUALLY GETS STUCK
The Kong that runs out
If your puppy finishes their Kong, realises you've gone and gets upset, the Kong hasn't taught them to cope. It has only filled the first part of the absence.
Crate, pen or a room?
Crates, pens and gates are management tools, not measures of how training is going. Choose the set-up where your puppy can genuinely settle, and expect that to change as they grow.
Is that a sign of worry?
Looking at the door or changing position doesn't automatically mean distress. If they can go back to their chew or to sleep they're likely coping, and a camera lets you check afterwards.
