For children, the wait for a new puppy can feel like forever. Then collection day comes, everyone wants a cuddle at once, and the puppy is tiny, tired and a long way from everything he knows, so the first week can wobble before it's even started.
Our Puppy Is Coming Home gives children jobs for the wait and simple rules for the first week. Each of the 16 lessons comes with a short page to read together and a big colouring picture of Sully, the Paws Academy puppy, doing it the right way. Then there are 50 puzzle pages, five of every kind, for the long wait and the quiet times while the puppy sleeps.
The first two weeks are when families get in touch with me most, and a lot of the worries come from excited children and a tired puppy. I wrote this book so the children know what's coming and have their own jobs to do.
